Getting in and out

• Way in: sleep in a Mochi's Bed at night. They generate in flower, birch and oak forests.
• Arrival: a pink playroom, with a Dream Compass and two notes by the bed.
• Way out: sleep in any Mochi's Bed in the dream, any time.

What you'll find

• Pink playrooms with play mats, toy cubes and balloons.
• Purple party halls with long tables, boxes and paintings.
• Dark dormitories full of beds — the plush is in one of these.
• Pool rooms, winding corridors and closed-off rooms with no door at all.
• Dream Doors between rooms. Opening one can give you a nasty surprise.
• Loot: Mochi's diary pages, the Mochi disc, and sometimes the Birdy note.
• Rare jukeboxes standing in the corridors, already playing Mochi - 135 — the only way to get that disc.

Dark Mochi

A few minutes after you arrive, a Dark Mochi starts waiting for you, standing still in the pitch-black spots ahead of you, again and again.

• Walk too close while it can see you and it runs at you, with a jumpscare.
• If it catches you, you wake up at home: "Mochi wanted to cuddle. Too much." It also destroys your Mochi plush: the one following you, the ones you carry and any lying nearby.
• Stay in the light: it only appears where it's completely dark. Break its line of sight and it gives up.
• Once you take the plush, it's gone.

A Mochi also sometimes peeks at you from behind a wall. That one is harmless and leaves as soon as you look at it.

The Nightmare

The moment you pick up the plush, the rooms around you turn rotten, the lights flicker, the screen goes black — and you fall into the Nightmare: the same maze, one floor down, every block swapped for a rotten twin.

• The Nightmare Mochi lives up on the ceiling. When the lights start flickering around you, it's coming.
• The only bed down here is right under the arrival bed. Get back to it and sleep to escape with the plush.
• It smashes any block you place in its way.
