Coaster Cars

A track does nothing until it has cars on it. The Coaster Car item both creates a car and makes an existing train longer.

Interact with it on a rail block or a Coaster Anchor to drop a car there. Interact with it on a car you already placed to add another one behind it.

Building a train

Use the Coaster Car item on any rail, on a Station Rail, or on a Coaster Anchor if you are building on Pro Rails. This becomes the front car.

Use the item again on that car. Each use adds one more car behind it.

Interact with a car to get in. Crouch to get out, jump to change camera.

A train holds 6 cars behind the front one by default. You can raise that with Max body cars per train in Coaster Settings.

Important

To take a car off the track, interact it with the Coaster Wrench and choose to remove it.

Tip

Put a lead on the front car to drag a whole train around.

You don't choose the type. The game reads the rail the car sits on and picks for you.
