Nightmare Mochi
Nightmare Mochi lives in the Nightmare layer of Mochi's Room, where you fall after taking Mochi's plush. It hangs upside down from the ceiling, and once it runs, it's much faster than you. It can't be hurt.
The stare
Soon after you land, it appears in a dim ceiling corner ahead of you and the lights nearby blink. It just watches, then leaves. Harmless: it only wants you to know it's there.
The chase
Flicker
Every light around you flickers for a few seconds.
Far scream
It appears far away, somewhere you aren't looking.
The run
It runs along the ceiling toward you, breaking anything players built in its way. Your screen shakes as it gets close.
Caught
Within 4 blocks it grabs you. You wake up at home: "It was hanging there the whole time."
It gives up after about 30 seconds, then comes back a little later.
Getting caught sends you home, but you lose the Mochi plush you were carrying.
How to stay safe
- Hide in the tiny corridors. Its body is too big to follow you in there.
- Don't wall yourself in. It breaks through anything players placed.
- Head for a bed. The plush is only yours once you wake up with it.
